Beta: Unique logo for Beta Server as opposed to big, loud, red banner

I have to say, the first days I found the red too screamy. But now it's saved my life over and over again, precisely because it's so "in your face". I think I would have missed a more subtle difference, so I'm hesitant about this now. Where are you others at with this?

Sparrowhawk: For me, unfortunately, even though the colour is different and it's in a slightly different place, my brain now seems to be interpreting it as a "sale" banner and completely ignoring it. So it's no longer really annoying, but it also isn't serving it's purpose of avoiding accidents anymore. Not sure what a solution to that might be xD
Editing to add: for now the main thing I'm doing is just not having any breeds on the test server that I do on the live server, to avoid any major accidents. But yesterday while comparing something between the live and test servers, I ended up comparing between the test server and the test server instead multiple times, so the banner clearly isn't doing anything anymore for me.

changing the menu colour sounds like a better solution than making different logo. The logo is literally outside of ones "normal" screen-view; I know where it is,and that it is there, but I don't look there all the time because it's not important to me to know how it looks.I look at it maybe once or twice when I click on it to go unassigned tab. On the other hand,I interact with the menu all the time and it is much more visible in the view than the logo.

Would changing the banner's color to something less aggressive be an improvement for you, too?
I feel like changing the logo would be too subtle. When having a lot of tabs open I frequently confuse myself about which are Live or Beta or our other test server. And sometimes it gets dangerous - "Oh let me quickly retire all my testing horses. OH NO WAIT THIS IS LIVE, noooooo!" This has happened more than once to me.

Another option that could work is making the colour of the top menu and maybe the side bar different, so it's still obvious we're on the test server, but without a banner taking up screen space.

Entaria: I think that would be the perfect solution. I just think we don't have the code for it at the moment. I'll check! But most likely that'll be something for down the road.
