I was thinking it would be easier for users to fast-train horses if the timers were reduced to a few seconds each. 45minutes to 1hr gave me enough time to cycle through all my horses, but meant I couldn't advance any of my horses all the way through their training level within the space of a day. I was thinking this might be a quick, beta-only change to allow us to speed train without running the script to advance all the horses to fill their training bars.
